Job Description:

Assist with essential accounting functions in alignment with the mission, vision and values of Barnhill Contracting Company.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for all Accounts Receivable (AR) processing including verification and input of job billings and asphalt invoices; assist in identifying discrepancies and resolving billing issues; and the input of all cash receipts to the appropriate area
  • Responsible for all fixed asset processing including maintaining all depreciation records; reconciling fixed assets; and the filing and payment of personal and real property taxes.
  • Assist with accounting functions for various related companies and other projects as requested by management.
  • Review and distribute various weekly accounting reports to management
  • Assist with sorting and distributing mail, cover switchboard and perform other administrative duties as needed.
  • Maintain files and documentation in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices

Education Level:

  • Associate s or Bachelor s degree in the field of accounting or an equivalent combination of work experience required
  • 2 years accounting experience

Required License or Certification:

  • NC Driver's License
