Job Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position is responsible for overseeing the administration and coordination of all employee benefits, including enrollment, reconciling payroll deductions, and benefits questions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee daily benefit plan administration, including medical, dental, prescription, life insurance, disability insurance, and COBRA process
  • Audit and update employee benefit deductions
  • Reconcile payroll with benefit reporting and process monthly invoices
  • Process all employee benefit enrollments and changes
  • Answer employee benefits questions
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations
  • Process medical support orders
  • Manage communications on employee benefits
  • Prepare all required and ad hoc reporting
  • Stay current on regulatory updates, including, but not limited to, benefit mandates, benefit program changes, COBRA, and other district, state, and federal requirements

SKILLS:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical and detail oriented
  • Ability to communicate will all levels of the organization

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor s Degree preferred
  • Two or more years experience in benefits administration
  • Knowledge of employment law and benefits compliance, such as FMLA, ADA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA and ERISA
