JOB TITLE: Billing Clerk – Unit Writer

Status: Full Time

Pay:

REPORTS TO: Office Manager

LOCATION: Live Oak, Florida

We are seeking a full-time administrative professional who enjoys the feel of working in an office atmosphere. The successful candidate will take initiative, exhibit strong organizational skills, be very detail oriented, be highly productive, be an organized self-starter, and have a positive attitude.

Summary

Acts as Billing Clerk – Unit Writer working with our billing team with a power line construction company.

Essential Job Functions

  • Validate all work orders being invoiced
  • Entry and invoicing of assigned unit billing jobs
  • Monitor unbilled charges in Work Completed Not Billed (WCNB)
  • Requires maintenance of Excel spreadsheet and WMS software (requires explanation of charges)
  • Ability to accomplish work and prioritize workload with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization and external contacts
  • Provides administrative support including typing, filing, copying, faxing, answering telephones, etc.
  • Travel as necessary
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Education/Required Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver s License

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • A fast learner with the ability to make connections and anticipate challenges
  • Manage follow-up efficiently and promptly
  • Good verbal and written abilities
  • Strong computer skills and understanding of Microsoft applications
  • Familiarity of entering data into diverse software systems
  • Experience in billing units for a power line construction company (preferred)

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in an office environment. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
