We are currently seeking an Brake Press Operator to join our team of outstanding employees!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sets up and operates machining. Reviews setup instructions and specifications.
  • Loads control containing programmed commands into control console or enters commands to retrieve programmed control data.
  • Measures drill bit sizes using micrometer, and installs specified drill bits.
  • Monitors machine operation and display readouts to detect malfunctions.
  • Compares display data to specifications and notifies Machine Shop Lead/Manager of machine malfunctions.
  • Inspection and measurement to verify conformances to specifications.
  • Establishes and maintains safety operations by adhering to procedures and policies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:

  • Class A, B, or C.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees within the organization.
  • Ability to perform simple math such as add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, such as currency, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding following detailed instructions when performing repetitive or routine duties.
  • Requires definite application of clearly defined standard practice required to make minor decisions using proper judgment.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • At least one (1) year of machining experience, preferably in a machine shop environment.
