Job Description

NETE is seeking a highly motivated, flexible, organized, and detail oriented Contracts Associate (Paralegal) to join our dynamic team and serve as a key contributor in drafting and negotiating contracts and supporting general corporate legal matters. Reporting directly to NETE s legal counsel, this candidate s responsibilities may include as identified below but are not limited to the list.

  • Drafting and negotiating the terms of a variety of legal contracts
  • Assisting with compliance related to various laws and regulations; reviewing requests for proposals and/or procurement or other required documents to ensure compliance with related laws, rules, and regulations
  • Facilitating discussions with customers and vendors to ensure business integrity
  • Performing legal research and legal writing
  • Assisting with contract oversight to assure that agreements are negotiated, approved, executed, and filed in accordance with company and departmental objectives and policies
  • Assisting with general corporate legal matters, including employment and regulatory compliance matters
Job Requirements
  • B.A. or B.S. (or equivalent)
  • 2+ years of experience in a corporate environment managing the contract lifecycle; experience at a law firm or in-house is a plus
  • Experience drafting and negotiating contracts; strong working knowledge of contract structure, terms, and provisions
  • Experience with transaction work; experience with U.S. federal contracting is a plus
  • Ability to manage fast-paced, high-volume workload in a dynamic high-performing environment requiring a high level of responsiveness
  • Excellent internal and external negotiation skills
  • Proactive, self-starter who shows project ownership and enjoys working across departments
  • Superb organizational and verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
