SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

With safety being top priority, the control technician will be responsible for the installation, service and maintaining HVAC controls components equipment including: HVAC control devices, low voltage wiring, conduit & terminations, control computing hardware and/or software and related infrastructure elements.

PRIMARY ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  2. Responsible for designing, programming, installation and maintenance of control computing hardware and/or software and related infrastructure elements and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  3. Follows blueprints and/or engineering specifications to install, troubleshoot and maintain control systems infrastructure software and equipment.
  4. Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products.
  5. Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
  6. Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering diagnostic data and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.
  7. Maintains equipment by inspecting for signs of wear and/or damage.
  8. Represents the company by serving as a direct customer contact.
  9. Must be able to climb ladders, distinguish color wires and bend frequently.
  10. Documents work by completing paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress, and duration; and maintain files.
  11. Records parts, material, labor, subs and other cost data per assignment and returns unused resources.
  12. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma, Related Associates degree or equivalent from a Technical/Trade school or 2 years related experience in construction and/or low voltage installation, IT & TCP/IP experience is highly desirable. HVAC controls experience preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

State driver s license, auto insurance, auto registration, acceptable driving record.

Specialty software training provided upon hire.
