Position- Cost Accountant Analyst

Our member company is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant Analyst who has experience working in the manufacturing industry. This person monitors actual job performance compared to standard and is responsible to increase and maintain the highest level of integrity and accuracy of standard costing/fixed assets.

Position Overview

  • Develop, monitor standard vs. actual costs.
  • Analyze machine overhead rate to be used in calculating standard costs.
  • Review and analyze monthly manufacturing variances.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly manufacturing actual overhead spending compared to the flexed budget.
  • Analyze bill of materials and routings to reduce variances.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly operations performance measurement report.
  • Perform daily Mfg. costing analysis activities including Mfg. variances/inventory transaction review.
  • Reviews and verifies data to ensure intended cost of product.
  • Calculates individual items such as labor, material and time costs.
  • Maintain fixed asset tracking.
  • Participates in audit activities by providing reports and information.
  • Prepares government reports.
  • Perform other job duties and assignments as requested or as business needs require.

Essential Qualifications:

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; 1 - 3 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to operate a variety of office equipment PC, Fax machine, Telephone, online computer system (BPCS) or similar system.
  • Moderate knowledge with Microsoft Office applications but Advanced Excel required.
