 About the Opportunity

  • Directs the overall facility dining services including menu planning, quality control and meal services
  • Ensures quality nutritional services are provided daily in a clean, safe and sanitary manner
  • Meets regulatory dining service operational standards by maintaining proper systems and processes, resolving problems and identifying system improvements
  • Assists in developing and maintaining written dietary policies and procedures
  • Manages purchasing budgets, monitoring expenditures, identifying variances; implementing corrective actions
  • Oversees food preparation, production and service
  • Improves quality results, using systems and procedures, evaluating and re-designing food preparation, presentation and service protocols
  • Participates in educational opportunities to further develop professional skills and improve resident dining experience

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • The ability to deal tactfully with employees, residents/patients, family members, visitors, government agencies and general public
  • Able to work systematically, show initiative and follow through on procedures without continuous supervision or guidance
  • Reads, writes, speaks and understands the English language
Required Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Accredited culinary arts school degree preferred
