Job Description

The HR Generalist will be responsible for assisting with a variety of HR functions including, but not limited to: system administration, benefits administration, training, performance management, on boarding, policy implementation and employment law compliance.

General Duties:

  • Maintains HRIS records and compiles reports from the database (including employment verifications)
  • System Access for New Hires/Terminations – LP, Fluix and BirdDog
  • Maintains, updates and distributes the employee phone list
  • Maintains and processes all Unemployment Notices and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner
  • Benefits Assistant – Assists HR Manager with annual enrollment of all benefits plans
  • Operations/Call Center On-boarding Assistant– Assists with new hire paperwork, company policy and culture overview
  • Performance Management Administration – Manages the BirdDog HR system – ensuring compliance on completion/meeting standards and reporting accordingly
  • Uniform Coordinator – Manage company stock and distribute upon hire and semi-annually
  • PDX Recognition Lead – Responsible for completion of all details necessary to host PDX Quarterly and Annual recognition events. Kick-off assistant.
  • Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations


  • BS/BA in Business Administration/HR (or a related field) or equivalent experience
  • Recent proven experience as Human Resources Generalist
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of labor laws as they relate to the workplace (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.)
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
