Position- Human Resources Manager

With headquarters located in Moorestown, NJ the company provides coverage in New Jersey, Metro New York, Eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, District of Columbia, Virginia and Florida.

Due to continued growth, Shingle and Gibb Automation is seeking to hire an innovative and forward-thinking HR Manager to join their team. This is not your standard HR Manager position.

You will be tasked with protecting the current culture, valuing what has been built. You will assist the company as they acquire more businesses so your skills in assisting a team while going through acquisitions will be critical.

Position Overview

Compliance/Data Integrity

  • Maintain and update Employee Manual as needed to ensure compliance with State and Federal laws and remains consistent with Company mission and core values.
  • Maintains and updates job descriptions for all positions in Company with input from supervisors and Leadership Team.
  • Manage all routine HR functions including but not limited to answering all HR questions, benefit enrollments, processing new hire/change/termination information, completing background checks and coordinating pre-employment drug testing.
  • Maintain all necessary personnel documentation for employee files to include initial employment documents, wages, overtime, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, benefits, etc.
  • Manages all filings and communications for any unemployment claims and worker s compensation claims.
  • Ensures that all State and Federal notices to Employees regarding rights and regulations are posted in proper locations and/or distributed as required by law for all States the Company operates in.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law in various states.
  • Stays current with Human Resource related best practices, policies, programs and benefits.
  • Will assist executive team navigate future acquisitions throughout the U.S.
  • Oversee the H.R. data system, providing accurate reporting of employee information.
  • Assist with Employee Manuals, Safety Manuals / Training Coordination, and other Employee related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations; assist in any workplace investigations.


  • Ensures the health and welfare benefit plans are updated and changes communicated with employees annually.
  • Responds to questions and issues and forwards inquiries to third-party administrator as necessary.
  • Works with Health Care Committee to choose insurance brokers, ensuring the best option for the Company and employees.


  • Oversees all aspects of payroll function including preparation of weekly and semi-monthly payrolls, ensuring that time records are accurate and all regular and overtime hours are paid appropriately.
  • 401K and proper deferrals.

Retain, Train and Develop

  • Lead succession planning and talent development efforts to ensure an adequate supply of future talent.
  • Manage the talent development process including the employee regularly scheduled performance reviews.
  • Serve as the culture champion, managing employee engagement and employee growth.
  • Serve as the key champion for Shingle and Gibb to develop, update and maintain a differentiated employee value proposition.
  • Develop employee development roadmap to foster upward movement and employee development.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree required from four-year college or university.
  • Must have seven years experience in an HR leadership role.
  • Must have five plus years of experience in an HR role assisting a company successfully navigate multiple acquisitions.
  • Must have benefits experience.
  • Payroll experience and 401K deferrals.
  • High initiative and self-motivated with a proven ability to identify and address challenges and complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Ability to manage both detail and the big picture.
  • Proven leadership capability, ability to develop strategic partnerships and provide growth in the organization.
  • Must have critical thinking and business decision making abilities, as well as strong problem-solving capabilities.
