Job Description

Position Summary:

Responsible for marketing Cherry Companies services/products by developing relationships within the commercial, industrial and civil engineering markets. Maintain and expand company presence through social media, local media and trade associations. Produce advertising materials, write and distribute news releases and company articles to media outlets and cultivate and maintain relationships with key media outlets. Create and distribute company promotional materials, including quarterly employee newsletter.

Job Requirements:

  • Schedule and monitor employee continuing education classes and opportunities companywide
  • Create and present company liaison lunch and learns among customers and prospects, as needed
  • Responsible for ordering and distributing customer giveaways and Christmas gifts within marketing s budget
  • Set up booth and work various trade shows to promote all Cherry Companies
  • Design, develop, and place advertisements in appropriate media, such as magazines, websites, newspapers
  • Produce articles for publication by coordinating with key Cherry Companies information sources
  • Actively oversee and manage company social media, such as the website and Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn accounts
  • Assist with organizing and attending all company events, such as Customer Appreciation, Employee Appreciation, Cherry Cares activities, etc.
  • Develop new business strategies, conduct market analysis and develop new and improved methods for marketing Cherry Company s services/products
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, Prezi and/or additional software as they become available
  • Assist in preparing management reports regarding marketing activities, leads, including additional relevant information pertaining to marketing and business development
  • Create and develop marketing materials, such as business cards, flyers, etc.
  • Creating and distributing company quarterly newsletter
  • Maintain listing of and assist with corporate sponsorships, as needed
  • Additional duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

  • Work in enclosed air-conditioned / heated office environment
  • Work involves sitting, standing and moving to and from various office locations in the course of the business day to accomplish tasks
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
  • Able to work 12-hour days when traveling
  • Able to put up and take down trade show booths

Special Requirements:

  • KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Superior communication, reading and writing ability to satisfactorily perform job duties; ability to communicate effectively with other employees, supervisors, clients and vendors and perform described office functions; and basic computer, math and 10-key adding machine skills. Bachelor s degree in marketing or communication preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • PERSONAL SKILLS: Strong ability to communicate and work with other people; a self-starter who pays attention to details; and has the ability to multi task, consistently meet deadlines, accept supervision, support others in a teamwork environment, understand and follow policies and procedures.
  • PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be over 18 years of age; comply with Cherry Administrative Services policies and procedures
  • ATTENDANCE: Regular, dependable attendance for five-day workweek, including overtime hours. Occasional overnight travel may be required as scheduled by manager.
