Job Description


To manage the national account foodservice business operations at national and regional levels; including new business development, manage and further grow the current base of business, and represent InHarvest in a professional manner. This position reports directly to the National Sales Manager, with a communication line to the Vice President of Foodservice Sales.


  1. Grow and manage the development of new business within the assigned customer base both through direct sales activities and possible management of a limited number of select national account brokers to execute against annual plan.
  2. Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
  3. Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one to three-year period.
  4. Drive new business growth by developing target accounts list to focus on and constantly monitor progress and support to drive growth. Monthly and quarterly updates to VP of Sales for alignment and target tracking. Be the primary initial contact to all prospective new customers.
  5. Develop strong relationships with customer procurement, research and development, marketing, menu development and culinary.
  6. Responsible for the execution of all sales presentations to foodservice national accounts within a specific territory either directly by making the presentation or indirectly by supplying support to culinary team.
  7. Prepare monthly recap for all assigned customer base of market conditions and volume progress versus sales plan for management and team personnel. Includes a recap of successes achieved and provides recommendations for corrective action. The Top 20 list and Sales Funnel Report are used as the primary reporting tools.
  8. Attend and organize national account trade shows to further enhance relationships to grow product line.
  9. Work directly with Culinary, R & D, and Marketing team on customer projects as needed. Engage culinary on new projects, product development and any marketing efforts needed with customer base.
  10. Work with corporate office in a professional manner on issues such as credit, sample requests, distribution logistics, minimum runs and customer commitments.
  11. Work with all new and current customers on accurate forecasting, logistical expectations and volume commitments.
  12. Extensive travel as needed.


BS degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Marketing

Consultative Sales, Strategic/Conceptual Sales and Professional Sales Training

Proven track record of bringing in high revenue and profit margin sales.

10+ years sales management experience within the Food-service industry.
