Job Description

IBM’s Security SaaS offerings provide our clients extensive business value while greatly reducing overhead requirements for supporting infrastructure and technical expertise. The focus is on delivering value with a modern, agile, SaaS-based rapid “Time to Value” solution rather than the traditional model of requiring expensive hardware, software, and people to achieve business value after significant on-site technology deployment, configuration, and customization.

IBM Security has developed a modern, agile process that aligns with the business-value focus of our SaaS offerings. This process requires deep understanding of our clients’ security related business problems, and the related people, process and technology, in order to propose the right SaaS solutions to those problems and ensure client adoption and return on investment. The Security SaaS Client Success Manager (CSM) will leverage this process and deep Security SaaS business and technical expertise to drive client return on their IBM Security SaaS investment, and help achieve IBM Security business goals. Specific KPIs will include annual new and expansion signings, Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), and Net Promoter Score (NPS).

It is preferred for CSMs to have industry-specific background and expertise allowing rapid engagement into discussions with client business and security. The most successful CSMs will present as an industry leader with deep experience solving critical client issues via agile SaaS-based offerings from a world class technology partner.

The Security SaaS CSM will achieve these objectives by working closely with the North America Markets, the North America “Top” Security team, and with the WW Security team. The role is client facing, with the expectation of 70% of the CSM’s time being spent on client projects before, during and after procurement, driving significant adoption and growth via ongoing sales cycles. The CSM’s responsibilities will cross boundaries between traditional “sales”, “tech sales” and “Client Success Management (CSM)” roles. Examples include leading the design and execution of SaaS PoCs; leading SaaS contract negotiations, and driving Client adoption of our solutions. The CSM should expect to spend ~50-60% of their time deeply engaged with clients at client locations.

Candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:
  • Five years’ SaaS experience in a Sales, Tech Sales or CSM role
  • BS Degree in Computer Science, IT Management, or related field

The following experiences are also desirable:
  • Five years of experience with Security technology offerings in a Sales, Tech Sales or CSM role
