Job Description

Position: Plumbing Manager

Primary Function

To manage and lead Mountain Air Mechanical s new construction crews with efficiency, budget and personnel in mind.

Requirements

  • Required Skills
    • Must be able to handle heavy work load with interruptions, be able to politely work with a variety of personalities, be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, able to read blueprints, computer literacy, able to type proficiently, knowledge of office machinery, phone skills, thorough knowledge of plumbing industry, knowledge of hand tools.
  • Educational
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent, Business or Management Background.
  • Special Credentials
    • Driver s License
  • Years Experience
    • 5 Years Management Experience, Master Plumbers License
  • Physical
    • Be able to sit for long periods, stand for long periods, able to climb ladders, able to crawl in crawlspaces, able to lift 50lbs.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Upon Project Start-up
    • Coordinate Layout with Drawings
    • Give GC RFIs if needed
    • Perform Material and Equipment Take-off
    • Provide a Job Schedule for the Crews Completing the Work
    • Coordinate between Internal Crews
  • During Project
    • Track all Change Orders
    • Keep Schedule with GC
    • Job Cost Regularly to Ensure Project is on Budget
    • Follow Up on Punch Lists Throughout Project
  • After Project
    • Perform Owner or GC Walk-Thru
    • Create and Submit O&Ms to Owner or GC
    • Create and Submit Warranty Letter to Owner or GC
    • Coordinate Warranty Work Within 30 Day Timeframe
    • Perform Job Closing Procedures
  • Oversee Field Superintendents
  • Staff According to Workload
  • Serve as a Member of Mountain Air Mechanical Leadership
  • Set and Maintain Department Budget
  • Communicate with Accounts Receivable to Ensure Proper Billing and Payment

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Motivator and Team Builder for Crews
  • Price Change Orders
  • General Office Assistance as Needed
