This position may work out of our St. Cloud, Rochester, or any of the Twin Cities offices.

What You Will Do: As a Municipal Project Engineer, you will play the lead role in project design and coordination. You will collaborate with other groups/ disciplines within the company to deliver top quality projects and unparalleled service to our clients. Specific tasks that you may perform include design calculations, cost estimates, and plan preparation. You may compile, write, and edit quality technical reports, feasibility reports, letters, memos and specifications for Municipal projects. You will also help with proposals, project budgets and schedules and may be involved in planning activities as well as have public involvement and other presentation opportunities. You may oversee the work of EITs or Technicians.

As you advance in your career, you may also plan, direct, and coordinate all project activities to ensure that projects are delivered within prescribed time frames and budgets. You will have opportunities to lead multiple work teams, manage multiple complex projects, identify new projects, formulate an approach to projects, lead the proposal process, formulate, track and meet project budgets and schedules, and market to and secure work from new and existing clients.

Your experience level will determine the amount of independent judgment granted, the complexity of tasks performed, and direct supervision received.

What You Will Bring: The successful candidate must have a Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or similar degree from an accredited school and 4-7 years of experience in Municipal engineering or related field. You will have the ability to prepare, read and understand construction plans and technical documents and have a functional understanding of design software packages, preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD. Candidates must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Our preferred candidate will have their Minnesota PE license or the ability to obtain their license within six months. Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic will allow you to excel in this position.
