Job Description

General Position Description:
The Project Manager is responsible for developing bid and project management tools, assist in the bidding process, enhance and standardize current field reporting metrics which feed financial reports, and to collect and provide information to our utility customers and corporate office leadership.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor progress of field projects against bid estimates and provide feedback to corporate and field leadership on status and needed changes to drive profitability.
  • Develop and maintain project status communication tools (Smartsheet, Excel, performance metric charts and tables)
  • Develop and maintain tools and programs to accurately collect production in the field using mobile communication platforms.
  • Coordinates closely with the Contract Manager regarding administration of contract language.
  • Works closely with the Corporate billing staff to ensure proper submission of completed field work for billing.
  • Assist Field Staff as necessary to resolve daily operational issues.
  • Monitor and drive adherence to production reporting processes.
  • Conduct production audits to determine accuracy of production data.
  • Validate and submit reports to utility customers.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business, construction management, engineering, or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of business and project management experience in a similar role.
  • PMP Certification a plus, but not required.
  • Must have strong functional mathematical skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills required.
  • Must have strong analytical skills with the ability to review large volumes of data and perform metrics analysis.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and charts, Microsoft Office Suite and a project scheduling program such as Microsoft Projects or similar
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels within the organization required.
  • Strong technical and organizational skills with an ability to work independently
