About the role

The Regional Facilities Manager (RFM) is responsible for the oversight for several functions which may include; daily maintenance and renovation operations, financial reporting, training & development of employees and customer service to an assigned team comprised of multiple Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Managers, Renovation Technician(s), and Project Manager(s) within their portfolio. The RFM is responsible for building and developing a team of highly motivated, skilled and productive professionals to drive company operational goals.

What you'll be doing

  • Monitors all operational policies and recommends changes to improve overall functionality of business. Creates and communicates all maintenance policies and procedures as well as sets standards of performance for region. Responsible for monitoring regular physical property inspections throughout assigned region to ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of all assets. Responsible for forecasting maintenance needs and instituting an effective time management program for all personnel to ensure resident satisfaction, work order, and project completion goals are met.
  • Monitors financial and operational findings for region and collaborating with senior management to ensure maintenance team obtains the best prices for hired services that provide reliable and consistent services.
  • Solicits contractors and vendors to render services for varying levels of renovation for apartments, community centers and associated amenities.
  • Tracks and executes the selection, scheduling and completion of apartment renovations.
  • Maintains and tracks renovation scheduled through Construction – Job Cost Software. Creating Purchase Orders for Renovation Jobs as it relates to interior and common area renovations.
  • Makes recommendations relating to contractors, vendors and/or materials to ensure fiscally responsible project expenses.
  • Documentation of mandatory safety training, Hazcom Program / SDS binders, Hazardous waste / universal waste storage and disposal programs and Zero Harm Advisory Committee meetings.
  • Preforms site storm water inspections and documentation.
  • Preforms LBP risk assessments and LBP visual inspections (site specific)
  • Preforms Radon inspections and testing of mitigation systems (site specific)
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, controls, phones and computer keyboard. Frequently stand, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and stoop. Sit and stand to do clerical work. Regularly lift and move office supplies up to 50 lbs.


Who we're looking for

  • Associate s degree required plus five (5) years of supervisory experience in Facilities Management or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Facilities Management experience for Property Management. Multifamily/Student Housing preferred.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of operational experience with strong interpersonal skills.
  • CAMT designation or must acquire the designation within twelve (12) months.
  • PayScan and job costing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong background and understanding of electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, prepare and initiate contracts.
  • EPA Universal Certified and be knowledgeable in OSHA regulations preferred.
  • Possess strong understanding of budget process and a strong knowledge of various software applications to include maintenance systems that are common in the Facilities arena. Proficient use of Outlook and Microsoft products is expected.
  • This position can expect to travel approximately up to 75% of the time based on locations of the properties.
