Pat & Mike s Lobby Shoppe, Inc., a St. Paul based skyway coffee & retail chain is hiring an experienced Manager of their retail operations for two locations totaling almost 2,200 square feet in retail space. Located in commercial office buildings, our business hours mean no weekends, nights or holidays for you!

The successful candidate is comfortable wearing lots of hats including supervisor, merchandising pro, inventory controller and key driver of effective operational performance and profits. Our clientele are business professionals that appreciate the convenience we offer right in their building.

This full time position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, 401k, paid time off and a unique retail experience with a professional customer base.

What's in the job?

  • Develop sales plans and strategies, assisting in the development of organizational growth strategies.
  • Develop pricing, promotion, and clearance strategies.
  • Forecast, budget, and achieve financial objectives for the stores.
  • Manage, develop and retain a high performing retail team through effective recruitment, selection, orientation, training, and performance management practices
  • Build a customer-centric culture.
  • Oversee effective operations; create and enforce organization standards and policies.
  • Proactive leader & troubleshooter; able to diffuse concerns with diplomacy.
  • Identify current and future customer trends, and ensure availability of merchandise.
  • Actively engage customers through the use of store social media sites and postings.
  • Promote sales through attractive visual displays and merchandising techniques.
  • Develop and implement security processes and protocols to ensure a safe operation.
  • Administrative responsibilities including employee time clock management, daily financial reporting, deposits, lottery reconciliation & management & invoice entries into POS system & accounting system.

What does it take?

  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of retail sales and sales management experience
  • Previous buying and purchasing experience
  • Demonstrated success leading others to achieve business goals
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated professional with solid time-management skills
  • Strong problem-solver with the ability to make sound business decisions
  • Good planning and forecasting skills
