Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Grow the C&I Sales Markets in Central/South New Jersey & Philadelphia PA,
  • Prospecting on local businesses and new construction Projects.
  • Follow-up on incoming sales leads.
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with customers, providing ongoing sales support and handling service issues.
  • Business-to-business cold calling.
  • Proactively establishes positive working relationships with entire team, demonstrates excellence through positive behavior, flexibility and effective communication skills.
  • Manage and keep close track of Monthly Backlog/Billings to deliver accurate forecasts to management.
  • Recommends products and services to existing and potential customers.
  • Assists team through effective communication, smart business decisions and collaboration with other staff.
  • Follow-up on day-to-day needs and requirements of new and existing accounts.
  • Assist with executing promotional events for sales and marketing and sending marketing materials to new and existing accounts
  • Follow up with Account Receivables and insuring orders are given a timely release.
  • Assist with Credit and Collections of past due items pertaining to your regions outstanding sales.
  • Develop a firm knowledge of the product and services.
  • Develop a firm knowledge of the PumpMan strategy and philosophy for long term growth.
  • Assists in the training, coaching and development of others as needed.
  • Ensure company policies, safety policies, and work processes are followed and in compliance.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5+ Years experience Commercial and Industrial Sales experience serving the building and construction trades preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor s Degree in Engineering or Science Related field or combination of education and experience in the construction/trades industry.
  • Strong hands on leadership experience with a proven sales track record.
  • Confident thinker able to make critical decisions.
  • Strong PC Skills and proficient with Excel and Outlook.
  • A fundamental understanding of pricing, forecasting, cost management and other financial tools used in help driving a successful profit center.

Required:

  • Only Candidates with a current book of business will be considered for this role.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and a history of successful performance in a team environment as well as working independently.
  • Highly responsive to customer requirements, meaning prompt responses to queries and responding quickly to customer changes.
  • Strong interest in successfully interacting with customers in a sales/customer facing role.
  • Knowledge/awareness of CRM systems and their functions.
  • Commercially astute and able to understand sales strategy.
  • Must be flexible in dealing quickly with conflicting priorities; being a team player, willing to give additional effort when required to meet customer-based deadlines.
  • Prepared to be hands-on and eager to learn and develop professionally.
  • Some local or overnight travel may be required to attend conferences or training on occasion.
