Amteck Greenville, SC is hiring for an Electrical Service Manager

Primary Function:

Estimate, plan, schedule and execute service and maintenance projects.

Position Responsibilities:

The service manager is responsible for coordinating and scheduling resources to execute multiple maintenance and call-out style projects. This includes trouble shooting, diagnostics, planned events and call-out emergencies.

This Position reports to the General Manager.

Position Requirements:

  • Works directly with customers to coordinate electrical support and service
  • Oversees, delegates, and monitors all field related work to ensure thoroughness and quality completion of work.
  • Schedules resources including materials and service technicians for daily and weekly needs
  • Ensures timely billing of multiple jobs
  • Reviews and interprets blueprints/shop drawings and other project documents to formulate accurate execution approach
  • Conducts project estimating for all maintenance projects
  • Cultivates working relationships with clients to maintain on-going services
  • Clearly understands scope of work/ responsibilities of other trades at worksite
  • Makes routine inspections of assigned projects. Makes routine inspections of projects to verify project scope and specifications, company standards, and compliance are within local and National Electric Code
  • Understands and follows NEC, state and local codes
  • Conducts job openings and closeout.
  • Cultivates new business relationships and maintains existing relationships with clients through monthly public relations activities, and membership in professional trade-related organizations, associations and other community groups, to identify new service and call-out opportunities
  • Ability and knowledge of: security systems, fire alarm systems, process controls, air conditioning & environmental controls and other systems that affect the accurate installation of work in our scope
  • Understanding and enforcement of OSHA, jobsite and Amteck Safety requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience required;
  • 10 + years of experience in a similar service management role
  • Ability to read engineering design drawings and specifications
  • Demonstrated leadership and/or supervisory skills;
  • Ability to investigate, analyze critical situations in a non-emotional manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organization levels, including senior management;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
