Due to continued growth, we are actively seeking a Senior Marketing Coordinator to join our team in Atlanta! This individual will require the unique mix of skills that blends creativity and strategic thinking needed to take a business plan and translate it to the marketing medium. The right candidate thrives on a full schedule and the ability to adeptly organize multiple deadlines. Their love for writing and proofreading will be realized in the form of proposals, press releases, social media, award submittals, and marketing copy retention. Along with the items listed below, the Senior Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting, mentoring, and managing the Assistant Marketing Coordinator, as well as assessing and balancing workloads in this working manager role.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in an AEC marketing role
  • Advanced understanding of AEC industry, proposal process, and terminology
  • Preferred four (4) year degree in a marketing/communications curriculum
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be highly proficient in Adobe Create Suite program InDesign; basic understanding of Photoshop and Illustrator a plus
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong eye for graphic design and aesthetic elements
  • Possesses professional tact, diplomacy, and maturity at all times
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and champion Choate culture
  • Manages and mentors Assistant Marketing Coordinators

Marketing Plan:

  • Assist in developing creative campaigns to support execution of local business goals and growth initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of sales teams priorities as they relate to marketing needs

Corporate Standards:

  • Incorporate Choate Construction s companywide branding initiatives into all materials
  • Ensure consistent, updated appearance and style for all marketing collateral
  • Implement best practices, style guides, and templates as prescribed by Manager of Graphic Design and Marketing Director
  • Ensure Choate s image remains consistent and fresh to target audiences

Material Creation and Utilization:

  • Assist Business Development teams with development of creative ideas, concepts, and unique graphic elements to meet specific proposal and visual presentation objectives.
  • Act as point of contact for Assistant Marketing Coordinators in regards to material creation and utilization; brainstorm and implement new techniques for materials
  • Create basic graphic/written materials needed for various marketing packages
  • Review Marketing Coordinator/Assistant packages for consistency and accuracy
  • Manage deadlines of multiple RFPs/RFQs and ensure consistency with company branding initiatives; support Marketing Assistant with proposal completion when necessary
  • Submit requests for aid in larger graphic/written materials from Managers of Graphic Design and Marketing Director
  • Work with the sales and operations teams to organize and execute client presentations
  • Assess professional photography services for completed projects
  • Create client and other video testimonials for use in marketing materials

External Exposure:

  • Organize and execute various client and external events, such as happy hours, event sponsorships, and philanthropy endeavors
  • Act as main point of contact for Cars & Q philanthropy event
  • Complete award submissions for trade publications
  • Create submissions for social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter
  • Ensure accuracy of site signage
  • Complete and distribute press releases to the local market
  • Assist with creation/completion of any needed advertisements

Product/Information Management:

  • Oversee stock of promotional items; work with Choate ordering system to brainstorm new items
  • Utilize CRM software in preparation of proposals and to track/maintain project information

Environmental/Working Conditions:

  • 97% office environment.
  • 3% field environment.
  • May require travel to projects.
  • May require attendance of marketing related events, such as annual meeting, tradeshows, industry events, etc.
