Position Description:
Candidate will be responsible for general management of transit program staff, program scope, budget and schedule control and the implementation and maintenance of the overall quality program. The Senior Project Manager will work with the client to resolve business and policy issues, interface with supporting departments to provide services in a timely and efficient manner, interfaces with public agencies, corporations, governmental officials, consultants and contractor. Candidate will prepare and deliver presentations to WMATA executive management and coordinate between in-house staff, subconsultants, and associated WMATA staff. This role will also oversee the timely processing of RFI s, PCO s transmittals and change orders.

Job Requirements:
Ideal candidate must have a Bachelor s Degree in engineering, project management, construction management, business or a related field along with a minimum of 20 years or equivalent experience managing large projects. A registered PE is preferred. Candidate must have proven ability to manage complex budgets and schedules, work nights and be able to successfully complete WMATA s Railway Worker Protection Certification (RWP) Class. Must be able to pass a government background check and work in confined spaces. Knowledge of project management procedures (PMI), financial management, CPM scheduling, cost control and forecasting, communications and document control is a plus. Candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
