Service Electrician

ColonialWebb is seeking career-minded Service Electricians with commercial service/technician backgrounds to join our growing team in the Richmond and Charlottesville Area. This is a permanent position with potential for advancement.

Our Service Electricians are responsible for servicing and repairing electrical systems, control panels, and components. These positions also are responsible for, but not limited to, upholding company standards through work quality and performance, maintaining a professional appearance, and following all safety protocols on job sites.

Territory

  • Richmond and Charlottesville area

Job Duties

  • Service, install, and maintain wire and control panels and lighting systems
  • Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with customers/clients
  • Read blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to work independently as well as under supervision
  • Diagnose electrical problems with a variety of testing devices
  • Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and scheduling demands
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times – this applies to the individual as well as his/her tools, equipment, and workspace
  • Positive can-do attitude and contribution to a safe, efficient work environment.
  • Perform any other associated duties as needed to effectively and efficiently complete tasks

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in the trade
  • Knowledge of current National Electrical Code and OSHA safety regulations
  • Possess tools of the trade
  • Journeyman s License preferred, but not required
  • Valid driver s license
