Magnolia Companies is a Washington, DC, based Plumbing and Mechanical Company serving the greater Metropolitan area for over 50 years. We are seeking a self-motivated Warehouse Manager to lead a team of three in developing warehouse processes, inventory integrity, grounds maintenance, warehouse organization, and customer service. A qualified candidate for this role must be a confident, self starter seasoned in training team members, organizing inventory and performing warehouse management duties.
Job Description
- Orders plumbing and mechanical tools and parts
- Utilize inventory database to control an accurate account of warehouse inventory
- Communicates with internal customers/employees regarding delivery and updates on order status of parts and materials
- Responsible for overall physical appearance and housekeeping of warehouse and surrounding campus grounds
- Maintains and assures correct operation of tools
- Controls and distributes materials for long-term projects and daily jobs for technician
- Manages the logistics for material deliveries to work sites and external customers
- Improvement & development of warehouse processes and procedures
- Ensure that the workplace s health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with vendors
- Plan ahead for weather hazards in the office and yard
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Supervisory Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in tool & inventory management, warehouse and facility management Requires hands on knowledge in Microsoft Office, emphasis on Excel
- Organizational skills
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more
- Experience in managing stock, self assured receipt, storage, retrieval and timely delivery of material
- Experience in tool purchasing, performance and repair
- Prior plumbing/mechanical/electrical experience (Preferred)
- Must have the ability to work harmoniously with other employees at various organizational levels
- Familiarity with buildings maintenance, repairs and operation
- Must be organized, self motivated and have the ability to multi-task
- Must possess a valid drivers license and clean driving record
